It can even heat all around the pot. The feature I honestly like about the Toshiba is that it has a 24-hour delay timer. You can set it at night. You can get hot rice any time you want. For me, both the Toshiba Mini and Tiger Mini make great rice. The rice is soft, Fluffy, and even. Batch after batch, you will get quality rice from them.
The Dash Mini makes good rice too. But I do not think it is as steady as the Toshiba Mini and Tiger Mini. Sometimes I found some rice was drier at the bottom. The Dash mini is the fastest. It took 15 to 20 minutes to cook rice for me. Although it can cook fast, it has less control, that make me disappointed.

The Tiger feels the best in my hands. I love it because it has that classic Japanese build. The latch is firm. The body is strong. It does not shake or flex.

I used to cook rice on the stove. I was bad at cooking rice on the stove. I find that some nights it is hard to cook on the stove. Other nights it was mush. I still remember I burned a pot once. I had to toss it out. That day I said, “I need a rice cooker.”
